kindle 3G版 Code 2 Easy Repair
现象： 死机，不能启动，出现错误：“Repair Needed ! Your kindle needs repairing, please contact Kindle Customer service at http. Repair Code:2”
修复：(YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR FILE) Credit goes to MITBBS wanna (第五维)
1. 用usb线，连上kindle, 过几秒电脑会出现kindle盘符。
2. 赶紧在kindle根目录建立一个新文件，没有格式，就是一个文件，名字叫DO_FACTORY_RESTORE
3. 然后拔掉USB线
4. 长按电源10秒RESET重起。启动后一切恢复厂设。
1. Connect to computer using USB
2. The Kindle drive will appear in only a few seconds. Do the next step fast!
3. Make a folder named "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" under the root of kindle drive
4. Unplug USB
4. Press Power button on Kindle. When Kindle reboot. It is factory restored. YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR FILE though
Ringplus with Google Voice Verfication Problem
Sometimes, Google Voice cannot be verified on Ringplus Phone. Here is an easy work around. It will need to download the google voice app on your ring plus phone.
1) Delete the R+ number from the google voice website
2 Download the google voice apk from the play store onto your phone. (You might need to install google hangouts and google voice dialer on the phone before adding google voice but I'm not sure)
3) Click on the settings in the Google Voice app and go to "this phone's number" Click add this phone.
4) It will send an sms verification pin to the R+ phone. Enter the pin into the Google Voice app.
Your R+ number will show up at the google voice website as verified.
Verizon Box Battery Backup beeping and in the Red
To do this from your Battery Backup Unit (BBU):
1. Please go to the smaller beige box and follow its power cable to the 3-prong power outlet.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the outlet, you may hear a beep.
3. Go to the larger beige box, remove the battery panel to reveal the black battery. Follow the black/red leads until you get to a plastic coupler that hooks into the BBU.
4. Once disconnected, all lights on the larger box will be off.
5. Let it sit for 1 minute then reconnect the battery and plug the power cable back in.

You can just disconnet the battery totally
Akai GX-280D-SS reel to reel dissamble guide
This is a partial dissamble guide help non-professionals to dissamble this reel to reel. For clean purpose.
First, note that the screws are very different for many parts. Thus, it is recommended to tape the screws on the original parts as soon as it off. Otherwise, you may have a problem figure out which one is which. (You can click picture for larger size)
1. There are 4 screws on the bottom of machine
which is very obverse . However, there are 6 screws
on the back also need to be lossen. See picture:
2. After taken the 4 screws from bottom and 6 screws
from back, the main unit can be pull out from the wood
case. The back should look like this now:
3. The next step is to take off the Akai
badge / head cover. Two screws on top
of the cover. After that, 4 screws will need
to be taken off to get the inner cover off.
Should be easy.
It is also the time to take the pinch rolloer
and the 4/8 knobs(near the bottom, control
the volume) off.
4. Now we need to remove the
two side rails. 3 screws on each
side. You may hear small pieces
falling off inside. It is normal. But
you cant stop now because the
only way to put the small inner
picece back to place is after
you disassembled the whole
faceplate.
5. The upper silver faceplate can
be removed first. You will need to
unscrew the two screws on top as
well as one screw in the middle
(where the heads were). After the
3 screws off, you can pull the upper
faceplate out.
6. The lower black faceplate need
more effort. 4 screws on each side
will need to be taken off. Again, you
may hear small pieces falling inside.
And two small piece outside will also
fall off. Remember where they are
and what screws were used.
After the 8 screws off, check to make
sure pinch roller and the 8 knobs are
off. Then the black faceplate can be
taken off by pulling it up. Do it gently
and try not to broken anything.
7. Remmeber the small pieces we
heared in previous steps? There
are 6 pieces.You should be able
to see them now. Dont lose it and
remmenber where they are.
Now, everything is open and you
can do your cleanning job.
8. Put it back. THIS is a much
harder job then take if off. Some
steps HAVE to be in correct order
or you wont be able to put it back
as original.
9. Although we took off the black
faceplate last, the first step is to
insert the screws into the two lower
small pieces but NOT tighten it.
Make sure the screw in the hole of
the small pieces but also leave a
space between the small piece and
the edge. This space is where you
will insert the black faceplate.
Then, you can put the black fafeplate
back. Makre sure the upper edge
inserted into the space we left.
10. After that, put the 4 screws on each
side back. Remember you have two
outside small pieces need to be fixed
with two screws.
And, still, do NOT tight all srews
because you need the black faceplate
to be losse so that the upper silver
faceplate can e inserted into it.
11. Now, similarly, insert the screws into
the 4 small pieces in the uppoer portion.
Do not tighten it and leav a space.
Only after this, you should put the upper
silver faceplate back. It will slide a small
portion under the balck faceplate and
into the head section.
12. Now you can tighten all screws. And the rest are simple and intuitive.
Remove All Empty lines in word
Use search and replace functin.
Search "^l" and replace it with empty
Search "^p^p" and replace it with empty
CX985/CX777 firmware upgrade procedure:
CX985/CX777 firmware upgrade procedure:
1) Burn the file "mega_vup.bin" to the root of a blank cd as DATA. (If you are using CDRWIN, click the tools icon; Select "Backup file directly (on the fly) to an ISO9660 / UDF compatible disc" in the top-most box; click "Select file..." button and locate the "mega_vup.bin" file; click the "Add" button to place in the file list box; check that ONLY the "Long Filenames (Joliet) selection box is checked; make sure the "Filesystem" is set to ISO9660; insert a blank disc; click the START button and write the disc as MODE 1.) -- Also be sure that "Finalize/Close" is selected!
2) Eject/replace the cd back in your PC and verify that it's root directory contains only the single file, "mega_vup.bin".
3) Unplug changer from power. Count to 30. Plug in changer.
4) On REMOTE (while pointed at changer's receiving eye), press (firmly, one-at-a-time, and in this exact order) "SACD/CD", "ANGLE", "CLEAR", "I/O". (Unit should now power up.)
5) On CHANGER, press "EJECT". When door opens, insert cd created above making sure label side is right.
6) On CHANGER, press "PLAY".
7) Within about 1 minute, the tv screen will show some strange garbage on it if it finds/reads the file correctly. Within 2 minutes the inside blue light should begin flashing on/off.
8.) Unplug changer from power. Count to 30. Plug in changer.
9) Press "EJECT" to remove cd.
10) Turn unit OFF.
11) On REMOTE (while pointed at changer's receiving eye), press (firmly, one-at-a-time, and in this exact order) "5", "CLEAR", "I/O". (Unit should now power up and display firmware version. SYScon Version should now be 1.510 (0095))
12) Turn unit OFF.
